I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and a Fellow of the Association for Music and Imagery (FAMI), with a Master of Arts Degree in Music Therapy and Transpersonal Counseling Psychology from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado, USA (1998).
I have certification as a Grief Recovery Specialist®, and have worked with individuals in private practice managing loss and bereavement in many forms, including life transitions and death of a spouse.
Drawing on my music therapy training, I developed the Musixspa® holistic music wellness program, and have presented it nationally and internationally, including the World Congress of Music Therapy in 2001.
In addition to a holistic orientation, my training as a Fellow In the Bonny Method of Music & Imagery has prepared me to work with individuals on deeper issues using music psychotherapy and mandala drawing in a clinical approach. I have found this method to be very effective in both clearing blockages and resolving challenges. See: www.ami-bonnymethod.org
